Reasons for DIY

Hello :D In this post, we are going to discuss on

"Why make DIY items out of recycled materials?"

Many of you might be wondering about why do we need to do DIY items out of recycled box when we can readily buy things that are much nicer without wasting our time and effort? Well, after much thoughts, I have come up with some reasons that I hope will change your mindset and I hope you'll try to start to do YOUR part in saving our world.

1) Save cost.
Many people, especially students who are not capable of affording nice and expensive things.
So through this method, you guys can make nice things that are useful to you and are affordable as well.

2) Energy efficiency.
When it comes to saving energy, I definitely do not mean saving electricity but literally the energy from your body.
Firstly, you do not have to go so far just to get that item you want or search all over Singapore just to get what you want.
Most DIY items can be easily found in your homes unless you prefer fanciful decorations and that will be another story. XD

3) Minimum expense and easy to get.
Cheap? Definitely. Because almost all the things are recycled so you can find them easily for free.
Maybe there would be a few decorative items that you need to buy so as to meet your style.

4) Environmentally friendly, conserve valuable resources such as metals and reduce wastage of non-biodegradable items.
We can make use of non-biodegradable items such as cans and plastic bottles to make into simple but pretty thing
(In the next few tutorials, we will teach you more :D).

5) Last but not least, you can customize the items to
suit your own preference and style.
Agree? Some things may be pleasant to the eyes but it doesn't suit you. Or you may like the thing but not part of the design or may feel that something is lacking.
What to do? It still comes back to DIY.
Let your creative juice flow through so you can start designing something that you love or suit you. It definitely would not take a lot of time if you already know what you want or like.

So, these are the few reasons I have listed out to convince you to choose DIY. Are you convinced? What do you think?
Is there something you disagree with? If you have more to add on, comments and discussion are welcomed. Do leave your comments in the comment section below. Your comments are greatly appreciated. We will be back again for more posts and tutorials. Do visit us again ;D

i was quite convinced but there is 1 point that i have to disagree. Some DIY items are hard to make for ppl with no artistic skills, like me .

I think Singaporeans would rather buy ready made items then doing the DIY stuff themselves because Singaporeans are all busy with their work and they still need to log on to the computer just to learn DIY after a tiring day.. Although is saving their money and the environment but its still kind of troublesome for some lazy Singaporeans.. :)

Question, what if some recycled materials has a chemical reaction which in turn counter-produce unwanted chemicals? Love your stand on DIY recycled stuffs though!
